Caring For Others
Caring for Parishioners
THERE'S LOVE HERE!
|Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these
who are members of my family,
you did it to me.
At Christ Church Deer Park we follow Christ's injunction: We care for and about each other — in our parish, our local community, and our world — because it is our duty, but also our pleasure and privilege, to do so. Please be in touch with us if you are interested in any of our caring initiatives or if you feel called to join us in joyful service to the world. Contact us.
As a spiritual community, we routinely pray for the well-being and needs of others, and anyone may add a name to our prayer list. People remain on our list for three weeks unless a longer period is requested. For privacy reasons, we record first names only and do not publish identifying information or background details. If there is someone you think would benefit from our prayers, we hope that you will let us know.
Congregational Care Team
Pastoral care is a priority for us at Christ Church Deer Park and we have a panel of committed parishioners who form our Congregational Care Team. Team members have training and experience in caring for others. In conjunction with our clergy, they lovingly respond to those in our congregation who are temporarily or permanently shut in at home or in chronic care facilities. Depending the individual's needs, team members will visit or phone on a regular basis to offer friendship and necessary services. The team also serves as a conduit to and from our parish community. If you are aware of someone from Christ Church Deer Park who would benefit from a visit, or if you would like to join the congregational care team, please contact us.
In conjunction with our congregational care team, our clergy visit parishioners and family members for sacramental and other pastoral reasons. To arrange for a visit from our clergy for yourself, a family member, or a friend, please contact us.
