This team manages the temporal affairs of the parish. It is made up of our clergy, volunteer churchwardens, volunteer treasurer, and director of parish operations. The team meets regularly and makes decisions by consensus.
In carrying out its responsibilities the management team is supported by many other parish volunteers, including the following:
Coordinator of Building Improvements
Reporting to the management team, this individual liaises with relevant groups and coordinates building improvement initiatives so as to avoid redundancy, inefficiencies or overlap.
This committee is responsible for providing guidance with respect to property issues.
Screening in Faith Committee
Christ Church Deer Park is a full participant in the Diocesan Responsible Ministry Programme. This includes a number of steps which seek to create a safe and welcoming environment for worship and ministry by maintaining the highest ethical standards of mutual respect, responsibility and care. In accordance with the required steps of diocesan policy, volunteers must complete this application form and will be contacted by a representative from CCDP.
We believe Ministry is a privilege. The process of matching an individual's gifts with the church's needs requires church leaders use gifts of discernment and insight to best align volunteers with positions. This committee is responsible for providing guidance about ongoing and special fundraising activities in the parish. It undertakes regular and targetted communications with parishioners.
This committee oversees the investments of the various trust funds held by the parish and its purpose is to provide advice on the investment policy to be followed in order to comply with the investment objectives set for those funds.
