DESCRIPTION:Join us for a wonderful afternoon of jazz music! This informal service includes a few prayers\, a short reflection\, and\, of course\, lots of jazz.  June is traditionally our biggest service of the year before we break for summer\, and this year is no different! Come on out for to hear Brian Barlow’s Big Band play music from Ellington’s Sacred Concerts. \nOur musicians will be: John Johnson\, Colleen Allen\, Alex Dean\, Perry White\, and Alec Trent on saxophone; Jason Logue\, Alexander Brown\, Blair Yarranton\, and Brad Eaton on trumpet; Diane Doig on French horn; Russ Little\, Kelsley Grant\, and Zach Smith on trombone; Gord Sheard on piano; Scott Alexander on bass; Brian Barlow on drums; and\, Heather Bambrick from Jazz.FM as special guest vocalist! \nThe service begins at 4:30pm and runs for about one and a half hours. \nAll are welcome.
