Christmas Sale: Intake

October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

We are having our Christmas Bake Sale & Holiday Decorations Sale on Saturday, November 25th!

Please drop off your donations of Christmas decorations and new items for our re-gifting table in the church Atrium on all Saturdays up to November 18th, from 11am-2pm. (The Atrium is the glass door off of Heath Street, which says “Office” on it. Please ring the bell.)

This is a fun event to get involved in – we’ll be selling holiday decorations, baked goods, and we’ll have a re-gifting table. We will need volunteers for November 23-25! If you are interested in helping please email Iwanttovolunteerforccdp@gmail.com and leave your phone number, availability, and if you have a preference for volunteer duties (duties include: elves to join the team, wrapping fairies, and general helpers.)

Please also email us if you can make Christmas baked goods for the sale – we will need your goodies a few days ahead of the sale in order for them to be festively packaged.

The Story behind our

Tracking Organ

Our magnificent three manual, tracker-action organ was installed in the chancel of the church in the spring of 1982 and dedicated to the Glory of God and in memory of those who died in the First World War and the Second World War.

The organ, built by the Karl Wilhelm Company of Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, has a classical continental design. The case is made of white oak and the pipe shades are of carved butternut. Voiced in the classic French style, its 36 stops and 50 ranks are capable of interpreting a wide variety of organ literature.

Installation required considerable changes to the chancel including moving the altar forward and arranging choir seating to either side. These renovations prompted the design and production of our award-winning Benedicite Kneelers, done in needlepoint by a dedicated group of church members.
