With the arrival of spring, come join our walking group at Christ Church Deer Park as the Rev. Dr. Stephen Drakeford and Brad Lennon lead us on a hike through York Cemetery and Earl Bales Park. We will be on the lookout for spring ephemerals, those first flowering native plants to appear in our forests. We will listen and look for the birds on their migrations northward.
Starting at 10 AM from the church office doors, we will take a twenty-minute subway ride to North York City Centre to begin our walk. We will be taking paved paths and gentle slopes 8 km to our final destination at York Mills Station. Bring water, sunscreen and an umbrella, just in case.
